The Faun Crane Truck, also known as Mobile Crane, was originally released in 1984 or 1985. It is based off a prototype vehicle by Faun, and the casting has roots in another Faun vehicle, the Faun Quarry Dump Truck, which provided the chassis and base of this model, with minor changes. Another Matchbox vehicle, the 1976 Crane Truck, donated the crane cab, boom, and hook.
