This model is also known as Routemaster Bus. It is modeled after a 1963 AEC Routemaster 3 Double Decker Bus. Even though not expressly written as a 1963 AEC RM3 Double Decker Bus this is in fact a licensed model.

This model is given out to every single person who holds the title of Matchbox Ambassador To Collector's. The purpose and intent of The Matchbox Ambassador To Collector's is to deceminate new MBX info and release said info to the public and at the end of their tenure they recieve a MB 693 Routemaster Double Decker Bus in gold plating inside a hard plastic case on a wood plinth and the following people have held the title of Ambassador:
